This last week we had one more summer hurrah at the Indianola Aquatic Center. We took Belle to the annual Doggie Dive! After the pool has closed for the season, Reynold's Feed Service sponsors this event where you can bring your dog to swim in the pool. The proceeds go to Kiya Koda Humane Society and to the Indianola Dog Park. We all had a great time! I was able to get into the water with her and she swam and swam and swam! She even went down the small water slide and went off the diving board! (Mostly Kyle picked her up and dumped her off the diving board because she refused to go herself :p ) We even made the Indianola Record Herald! Belle was pictured three times in the article and Kyle and I both made an appearance as well. Here is the online version-no pictures unfortunately!

On Saturday we watched the Iowa vs. Iowa State game at my parents' house. It was a really exciting game and Iowa State won-yeah!!

Another interesting part of our week was finding some little critters living in our backyard! Actually, Belle found them for us! Kyle was outside lighting the grill when he noticed Belle going after something. Turns out it was a very new baby rabbit. It was so young it didn't even have its eyes open yet. Although Belle did hurt it a little, we found the nest nearby and put it back with it's brothers and sisters. There are at least 4 rabbits but it's hard to tell because they all lay on top of each other. We check them out every once in a while and they are growing really fast! They're already quite a bit bigger and we're hoping they won't be there too much longer as it's a little bit of a pain trying to keep Belle from going after them because she REALLY wants to get at those bunnies! They're cute-but I probably won't think they're so cute if they eat our flowers!
